Fulham are one of four Premier League clubs keen on signing AC Milan winger Alexis Saelemaekers, according to reports from Italy.
Calciomercato reported the Whites’ interest in the Belgian international for the first time this morning, having last week discussed contact between the player’s agents and West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Leicester City. The 25 year-old Belgian international, who has spent four years with AC MIlan, is expected to leave the San Siro this summer, having been loaned out to Bologna for the 2023/2024.
Milan are said to want around £16.85m for the winger, who helped them win Serie A in 2021/2022. Fulham head coach Marco Silva is known to be looking at wide players as he seeks to revamp his squad before the start of the Premier League season.
Why bother to follow the paper talk, probably has no truth whatsoever. TK will do nothing until the 11th hour on the final day of the window. He enjoys all the suspense and tension around the T/W and he gets off on it. We may get a decent player, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
That’s about the 50th player we are linked to same old rubbish every season it’s time Marco stood up and done something about it.
Us and millions more transfer window used to be fun reporters and agents have made it boring
It is perfectly clear that every buying team’s tactic, as soon as they are linked with a player, is to generate coverage that says they are trying to buy some other player who plays in that same position. Well, if those are the steps of the dance we may as well dance ir properly!
I am sure FFC will let the transfer window wind down to the 11th hours and then sign a bunch of players that no one wants and give Marco no time to gel them with the team. I have no idea why he puts up with it.
I suspect this will be the last season we have him because if FFC don’t do something soon that are going down and Marco along with our best players will leave and we are heading downwards…. CO ‘down’ YW’s
Tony’s way is so boring and I have no idea why Marco tolerates the clubs inept attitude to help him structure a first team before the season starts!
Pull your fingers out not just Tony but the whole recruitment team including the CEO!
So pathetic but we are not the only club behaving in this way!
I think at the moment it is a sellers market as clubs look to get as much as they can for potential transfers. This changes as the countdown to the end of the transfer window draws near. Therefore, you may be able to secure a better deal. This may be the reason TK and the club hang out as long as they can. Just a thought but appears a possible reason for the lack of player movement all round.
