Fulham midfielder Sean Davis has been named in the England under-21 squad for next week’s European Championship play-off against Holland.

Davis had to withdraw from David Platt’s last squad when he suffered a foot injury during Fulham’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Craven Cottage and missed the qualifier against Greece. But the tenacious midfielder has been named in a 24-man squad, which also includes two senior internationals in Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves.
