It’s here. The start of the season that we’ve all been eagerly awaiting during a summer that has tested the sanity of every Fulham fan.

The Whites kick off their Premier League campaign at Everton this afternoon – that means a last visit to one of the country’s most historical grounds in Goodison Park. Marco Silva’s side are going in search of their third consecutive win at Everton – which is remarkable given our atrocious record when visiting the blue half of Merseyside until recently.

This matchday thread is a new creation for the new campaign designed to give our readers an opportunity to discuss everything related to the game until the match report and post-match reaction are in. That might be a little later than normal as Dan is on a very early train up to Liverpool Lime Street and a pretty late train back as well as being at the mercy of Avanti.

In the meantime, there’s plenty of coverage to get in your teeth into. Joao Palhinha is definitely out, but all the other fitness doubts walked down the platform at Liverpool Lime Street so should be available for selection this afternoon. Marco Silva, who has spoken again about his desire to stay at Craven Cottage, has no concerns about Aleksandar Mitrovic’s commitment to the club and will have a selection poser over whether to pick the Serbian up front or hand Raúl Jiménez a Fulham debut this afternoon.

In terms of previews, we’ve got a couple to offer you. Alan has given Live Score the lowdown on Fulham’s prospects for the new campaign and spoken to The Call of Everton, whilst Dan’s look ahead to the clash with Everton sets the scene for return of competitive action. If you fancy some pre-match listening, check out our latest Green Pole episode, where Oscar, Alan and Dan discuss the opening game. Don’t forget to get your entries in for the first round of our prediction competition; in honour of the one and only Danny Fullbrook.

You can also catch up on a dramatic win for Fulham’s under-21s, who came from 2-1 down with three minutes of normal time left to win 3-2 at Wolves last night – sealing victory in Hayden Mullins’ first game in charge.

We also would like to wish one of our regular readers, Gary See, a very happy birthday. We hope you enjoy the celebrations, Gary, and that the Whites can make it a day to remember later on!

Let us know what else you’d like in terms of our coverage in the comments, give us your thoughts on the game and tell us where you’ll watching from later on. COYW!
