American attacking midfielder Luca de la Torre was dreadfully unlucky with injuries and a surfeit of academy talent coming through the Motspur Park conveyor belt simultaneously. He made his debut in a 3-2 League Cup win at Leyton Orient and appeared fourteen teams for the senior side, memorably scoring at Millwall in another League Cup tie in 2018, but couldn’t nail down a starting spot. He has subsequently flourished with Heracles in the Netherlands after leaving Fulham in 2020 and was named in the USA World Cup squad in 2022.
