Fulham will have to double their £2m bid for Scott Parker if they want to sign the Tottenham midfielder, according to the Sunday Express.
Martin Jol is keen to bring the England international to Craven Cottage to strengthen his options in midfield and Fulham felt that there were close to opening the negotiations with the player after matching QPR’s successful offer for the 32 year-old. However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has insisted that, although he would be willing to let Parker drop down to the Championship for a reduced fee, any of Tottenham’s Premier League rivals will need to shell out closer to £4m.
