Fulham are closing in a double deal for Nice pair Jean Michael Seri and Maxime Le Marchand that could be completed today, according to various reports this morning.

Seri, who had long thought to be in negotiations with the likes of Chelsea, Napoli, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund, is believed to be ready to sign a four-year contract with Fulham and was reported to have been undergoing a medical in London yesterday. Reports from France suggest that the Ivorian midfielder, who almost joined Barcelona last summer, will become the club’s highest paid player should the Whites be able to pull off the deal.

French defender Le Marchand, who can play either at centre back or left back, is also poised to sign for the club, having made 41 appearances for Nice last season. The 28 year-old had attracted interest from across Europe, with Fiorentina also having linked with the defender over the course of the summer.  The combined fee for the duo is believed to be in excess of £30m and the pair will be Fulham’s first signings since returning to the Premier League.
