Kevin McDonald has ‘no desire to leave Fulham’ despite being heavily linked with a big-money move to Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window.

The Scottish international, who has been a revelation at the base of Slavisa Jokanovic’s midfield since signing for Fulham from Wolves last July, has insisted he is happy at Craven Cottage and is enjoying his football after shaking off a calf complaint that delayed his return to first-team action until the 1-1 draw against Reading. McDonald was emphatic about not wishing to leave west London when he spoke to Get West London’s Ryan O’Donovan following Saturday’s win over Ipswich Town:

I’m happy here and enjoy my football here and I have no desire to leave just now and I’m really enjoying myself at Fulham. I can’t imagine anything will happen if I’m honest with you, which is fair enough.

The 28 year-old has formed part of a crucial triumvirate in Fulham’s midfield with compatriot Tom Cairney and Stefan Johansen, making 52 appearances for the Whites and scoring twice. Although Jokanovic brought in Ibrahima Cisse from Standard Liege over the course of the summer, the former Sheffield United man is still very much Fulham’s first choice holding midfielder.
