Pajtim Kasami was delighted with what he described as ‘a magnificent performance’ after Fulham fought back to draw 2-2 with Manchester City afternoon.

The Swiss midfielder made an impression as a second half substitute, delivering an eye-catching cameo after replacing Damien Duff.

This was always going to be a difficult game for us. Alongside United, City are the team to beat at the moment. They had won all their previous league games and I think some had predicted that would continue today.

That certainly looked the case as they had they enjoyed the better first-half and scored that early goal in the second. We needed to find a response and what followed was probably the best football we have played this season. The second-half performance was magnificent.

We kept the ball, frustrated them when they had it and really put them under pressure. On another day we could well have sneaked three points, because we had a couple of chances.

It was good to be involved in a game like that. I came on at a point when we were chasing the game, which was difficult. But as the game swung we sensed we could do something.

This is what the Premier League is all about – it’s exciting. I haven’t been at the Club for too long, but I’ve really enjoyed myself so far. Hopefully I can be involved in more games like this and play my part for the team.

We have a game against Chelsea in the League Cup on Wednesday and then West Brom in the league next weekend. This performance will serve as a real boost and hopefully we can use the momentum.
