Fulham plot Menezes loan move?

This all seems a little agent-orientated to me, but Sky Sports have a piece on a potential loan deal for Benfica midfielder Felipe Menezes.

Given our strength in midfield, it seems a bit strange that Mark Hughes would make a move for someone who has struggled to earn a place in a Benfica side that finished some 21 points behind Porto in the Portuguese league this season. However, for all I know, he might be the long-term replacement for Danny Murphy that we’ve all been urging Fulham to sign. According to Menezes’ agent, he’ll talk to Fulham at some point this weekend as he’s in London for the Champions’ League final and he seems pretty confident that the Whites are keen to do a deal.

I suspect it’s paper talk – but watch this space.
