My boss, who thinks he’s really funny, asked me this morning when Roy Hodgson will be joining Liverpool. I reminded him that, whilst one of the self-styled ‘big clubs’ struggled last season, Fulham actually reached a European final and that Roy might feel there’s still work to be done down by the Cottage.

There isn’t much to distract from the race to succeed Rafa if you’ve already pinned up your wallchart and read through the World Cup previews. I did find this snippet in the Daily Mail suggesting that Fulham are amongst a host of English sides showing an interest in young Norwegian striker Marcus Pedersen. As we’re in the market for a forward (what with Nevland and Kamara leaving over the summer), this rumour’s at least plausible, which makes a welcome change.
