Fulham academy stars Seth Ridgeon and Aidan Evans are off to the Under-17 World Cup having been named in the England and Canada squads for next month’s tournament.

The finals take place in Qatar next month. Ridgeon, who has been captaining England’s under-18 outfit of late, has been handed the number eight shirt for the Young Lions, who have been drawn against Venezuela, Haiti and Egypt.

England’s group matches get underway against Venezuela on Tuesday 4 November before games against Haiti on Friday 7 November and Egypt on Monday 10 November.

Evans is set to team up with his Canadian colleagues later this week at their pre-tournament training camp. The forward has scored four times in eight games for Fulham’s under-18s this season and will hope to add firepower as Canada’s group matches begin with a meeting with Uganda on Wednesday 5 November. Canada then face France on Saturday 8 November and finish off their group schedule with a clash against Chile on 11 November.

All the action will be live on FIFA+ channel.
