Former Fulham winger has become the top-earner at Brazilian side Gremio having signed for the Porto Alegre outfit last month.

The 37 year-old, who hasn’t played a competitive game since the Whites were beaten by Manchester City at Craven Cottage on the final day of last season, signed a short-term contract with Grêmio and has been reunited with his former Fulham team-mate Carlos Vinicius. Willian will earn around £210,000 a week, according to RTI Esporte, comfortably beating the salaries of former Barcelona pair Arthur and Martin Braithwaite, and his hefty wage packet will be partially met by one of Gremio’s betting partners.
