Fulham have confirmed the signing of Bayern Munich’s teenage striker Jonah Kusi-Asare on a season-long loan.
The deal was approved by the Premier League despite reports overnight that there were problems with the paperwork. Fulham hold an option to sign the eighteen year-old centre forward permanently – should his loan spell at Craven Cottage prove a success.
Kusi-Asare told the club’s website this morning:
“I’m really excited to join Fulham. It’s a fantastic club with great supporters, and I can’t wait to get started, work with my teammates and give everything for the club.”
Wow great news!
Perhaps TK will finally realise how ridiculous his last minute strategy is
It’s been a highly frustrating, not to say annoying, transfer window but, somehow, we have ended up with three quality players that should definitely enhance our team.
Such a great pity that our business, so often, goes down to the wire but, thankfully, we have signed Kevin permanently, have an option on Chukwueze and, out of nowhere, have a young prospect for the season, also with an option to buy, meaning the club is very much in control of the eventual outcomes.
Kusi Asare will be one of the tallest forwards in the Premiership and appears to have no little skill. Here’s hoping for good things from him if and when he gets his chance but this signing certainly gives us options upfront.
Personally, I can’t wait for the Leeds game now.
Let him loose on Cambridge United
Hopefully we can pick up a free agent to cover DM to complete the squad, Josh dasilva (brentford) could come in and he can cover LB also or Josh brownhill on a 1 year deal club option for a further year if they do well?
I would also count Tete, Cairney, King, Ridgeon, LDF and Lecomte contracts as part of our summer dealings
Its a “Win Win” situation. If he is no good we can return him to Bayern at the end of the season. otherwise we have the option to buy what is the amount we would need to pay. Also was there a sell on clause when we sold Harvey Elliott to Liverpool. If so we would get something at the end of the season as Aston Villa have an obligation to buy
Always a bit nerve-wracking when nothing happens until the last moment, but, once again, some great signings and a squad that is undoubtedly our strongest ever.
Season is looking good and we should be full of hope and optimism.
Without the refereeing errors of the last two games, I believe that we would have won both of them and would be up (nearly) at the top on 7 points.
COYW!!
I am sure I read somewhere that there was a 20% sell on cluse if Harvey Elliott left Liverpool which if the case will good news for us when Aston villa pay the transfer under the obligation to buy. Do Is that correct?
At last 3 Quality players TK again needs to look at the lateness of everything if these are the players Marco wants especially Kevin’s long term contract which must mean is Marco happy the next few months could define our season with new signings but more important Marcos future maybe the January window we will purchase the ones we could not get for this window
The vibes coming out of the Cottage are not very promising of course we would love him to stay so the Khans have really got to start working on his contract from now plus also if that don’t happen who will replace him just as he is getting the players he has asked for same as Muniz
