Marco Silva again urged the Fulham board to back in the transfer market by making several signings before the window slams shut.

The Fulham boss claimed not to have any ‘fresh news’ on the future of attacking midfielder Andreas Pereira as the Brazilian international edges closer to an £8.6m move to Palmeiras. After watching the Whites beat Bristol City in the Carabao Cup, Silva told his post-match press conference:

“We don’t have other solutions. We don’t have other way to do it, We are short in positions, in some of them. If something is going to happen with Andreas, it’s another position that we need to strengthen. The front line, as we mentioned, I know that they are not many hours right now, many days, but we have to do until the end of the market what we need to do. Let’s see how we’re going to end.”
