Charlie Shaw and Dan react to defeat in the SW6 derby and the refereeing controversy at Stamford Bridge. The boys – like everyone else – can barely believe Josh King’s brilliant opener was disallowed and there were debatable moments after that, too, including Joao Pedro’s opener being scored in the ninth minute of eight added minutes at the end of the first half before the forward’s handball and a stamp on Alex Iwobi were ignored as the VAR awarded a penalty against Ryan Sessegnon.
The lads digest the defeat and ponder how the Whites can recover after the international break.

Says it all really!
“In his career Jones has officiated in 17 Fulham games, with only three wins for the Cottagers. In those games he has issued 34 yellow cards and no red cards to Fulham who were on a five game winless run in games in which Jones was the referee prior today.”

Agree with everything stated 100%. It was no more than cheating against Fulham which should be analysed by the Football League.
Just one point about the first Chelsea goal. I know the corner kick should not have happened as the 8 minutes of stoppage time had elapsed. I must ask who is Fulhams goalkeeping coach?
The corner was crossed into the six yard box. Why why why did Leno not move off his goal line and simply catch the ball or punch it out? If you watch Nick Pope of Newcastle, he owns his goal area and makes these crosses look simple to deal with. Just like Peter Schmeicel used to.
Goalkeepers are too soft these days. What hope has any defence got if they cannot rely on their keeper to deal with the basics?
I have to agree Leno has to come out for crosses from corners it is his weakness, he makes a lot of good saves but he has got to sort things from corners that’s his job. If the opposition block him or hold him he would get a free kick and they would not of scored that goal.
