Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi is ‘on his way to Fulham,’ according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 33 year-old was set to choose between the Craven Cottage club and Leeds United this week, but Gazzetta’s report suggests that the Iranian international is poised to pick London as his destination. The only stumbling block is that Fulham will not match the £2.6m a year he current earns at Inter and that once he agrees to a wage cut, he could become the Whites’ second signing of the summer.
Gazzetta also reports that a glowing review from former Fulham winger Ashkan Dejagah has also proved crucial in Taremi’s choice. Corriere dello Sport also agree that the former Porto forward is set to join Marco Silva’s squad. They suggest that the striker has already agreed to lower his wage demands as he wants to play in the Premier League.
Fulham signing a 33 year old striker?
I think this is just newspaper talk, I really can’t see that happening!
NOOOooooooooooo! Let’s at least hope we’re getting the right amount of money for Muniz then.
Where’s the sense. Dreadful last season. Unproven in the Premier League and no time to adjust. Probably has 2 seasons left in him. Seems like a panic buy to me. Hope it doesn’t happen. Could always try for Mitro
I’m really hoping the lack of real information is driving all the drivel.
We don’t need anymore 30+ recruits neither this guy or Sterling.
The clues are surely in the salaries NOT recruiting these guys allows us to properly reward Muniz surely that is our objective.
How about we keep Muniz and recruit Kevin and Lookman?
What a good shout as Mark said Keep Muniz go for Kevin and Lookman that would make a statement from the club in what direction we’re going as we all know Lookman played under Parker Silva would take him to another level instead of dilly dallying about a few extra pounds also get Nelson And Chuckuawe
