Strasbourg have offered around £6m for Fulham winger Martial Godo, according to reports from France.

French journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter suggests that the Ligue 1 side, managed by former Fulham full back Liam Rosenior, are interested in signing the Ivory Coast under-23 international on a permanent basis. The Whites have not formally rejected an approach from Coventry City for the former Margate and Dartford winger – believed to be worth around £2.5m – but Godo is understood to want to play regular first-team football.

Marco Silva referred to Godo’s situation in the build up to Sunday’s draw with Manchester United saying that the winger was denied a Championship loan last season after Fulham decided to sell Jay Stansfield. He implied that the 22 year-old’s future would be dependent on whether new wingers arrive before the start of the season. Godo, who is under contract at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2028, has made six senior appearances for the Whites but has yet to feature for Silva’s senior side in a competitive game this season.
