Ryan Sessegnon will have a fitness test tomorrow to decide whether he can play a part in Fulham’s Premier League opening fixture at Brighton Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Fulham academy product was taken off as a precaution after going down injured in the final pre-season friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt last Saturday and head coach Marco Silva is keen to give the left-sided utility man as much as time as possible to be ready, especially as Antonee Robinson will miss the first couple of weeks of the campaign having had knee surgery in the close season.
On Sessegnon, Silva said:
“We will see how he is. He was involved this morning. We have another [training] session tomorrow and that is when we will take a decision.”
Asked about Robinson, the Fulham boss added:
“We have a situation with Jedi. He had surgery. He’s not ready this weekend, but [there are] good signs from him. Soon we will see him in contention.”
