Peter Rutzler reports this morning that there is an expectation that Andreas Pereira may leave Fulham in the closing days of the transfer window.
The Brazilian international, an unused substitute at Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend, has entered the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage and previously turned down an extension with the Whites. Rutzler confirms that the former Manchester United midfielder is attracting interest from a number of Brazilian clubs, including Palmeiras, as we have covered earlier this week. Fulham have yet to accept a bid for the attacking midfielder, but discussions continue over a deal worth £11m.
The 29 year-old angered Marco Silva and Fulham’s board by publicly discussing the prospect of a move away from Fulham last autumn. He has made 110 appearances in three seasons with the Whites, scoring ten goals, but is interested in a return to his homeland as he hopes to represent his country at next summer’s World Cup. Pereira’s departure may free funds for Fulham to buy players before the summer transfer deadline – but Manchester United have a 20% sell on clause.
Good – I’ll pay his ticket back home!
What a realality check with those who thought Pereira would be sold for £25/30mil. The market dictates the price and we should be please to get £11mil, but we will probably accept £5m or even let him go on a free, with a repatriation fee back to Brazil.
Any news on the Forest interest in Traore? he’s another person who mascarades as a footballer, with his Medusa snake locks.
Martin the reality check is we need incomings, not criticizing the players we have currently.
If no one comes in to replace him it will be another loss. When chasing the result Cairney can never be a good option, everytime he comes on our tempo becomes too slow to pose any real threat. Pereira always gave his all, it may not have been much on many occasions but if he leaves without a replacement we will be in trouble.
Not a fan of Perreira never scored from his free kicks and corners were crap
Suddenly a player is leaving how quick was that done shame it’s not the same as getting players in We nearly get the deal done with Chukuawe then surprise surprise A Spanish club has come on the scene and I bet they get him well done again recruitment
