Goals from Tom Olyott and Ollie Gofford guided Fulham’s under 21s to a 2-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in their final pre-season friendly at Motspur Park this afternoon.
Winger Olyott broke the deadlock with a lovely lob of the visiting goalkeeper from long range before producing an inviting cross that was nodded in by Gofford, who got forward dangerously from defence every time. Brighton pulled a goal back ten minutes before the break and two sensational saves from Marco Underwood ensured the young Whites finished their pre-season programme with a win.
Ali Melloul’s men start the new season with a trip to Gander Green Lane on Tuesday night to take on Sutton United in the National League Cup. Don’t forget that game kicks off at 7pm.
