Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz is ‘pushing’ for a move to Atalanta, according to Sky Italia’s Gianluca di Marzio.

Di Marzio’s latest dispatch that the Whites have not yet agreed to sell the Brazilian striker, but that ‘relentless’ negotiations are ongoing. He claims that the 24 year-old wants to move to Bergamo and actively seeking a move to the Champions’ League qualifiers.

Muniz has been valued at £50m by Fuham, who have rejected bids from Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United this summer. Atalanta, who have made the former Flamengo forward their number one target to replace Mateo Retegui, believe they can reach that figure with a deal that includes performance related add-ons.

Should the transfer go through it will leave just Raul Jimenez as a recognised senior striker in Marco Silva’s squad – with Fulham’s Premier League season getting underway at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
