Fulham winger Martial Godo has passed a medical at Strasbourg this afternoon ahead of a proposed £6m move to the Ligue 1 side.
The 22 year-old is set to complete a move to France in the coming hours and team up with former Fulham full back Liam Rosenior, who has been in charge at Stade de la Meinau since last July. Godo, who enjoyed an excellent loan spell at Wigan Athletic in 2023-2024, had been the subject of a bid from Coventry City but has opted to join Le Racing, who qualified for the Europa Conference League after Rosenior guided them to a seventh place finish in Ligue 1 last season.
The Ivory Coast under-23 international had made six senior appearances for Fulham following a meteoric rise having been spotted playing for Margate, but had not featured for the Whites since playing against Sheffield United in a behind closed doors pre-season friendly. He had made clear that he wanted to play regular first-team football, whilst the deal represents pure profit for Fulham under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
How much was the fee
It’s right there in the first sentence, Michael.
My mistake. Sorry .At that fee I think it is a good move for all concerned
Good to see Liam Rosenior thriving in management. Future Fulham manager? Could do a lot worse.
Nick I had exactly the same thought he has Fulham blood in him. A decent and fair price for Godo I wish him the best of luck at his new club
The fee was 6m Malcolm says it in article
AL it is Malcolm not Michael, all the best to Godo I expect him to do well.
Good luck to the lad. I thought he should have stayed and started playing.
I’m not sure about TGeorge seems OK but did precious little on Saturday when he came on
I hope this latest about Wilson to Leeds is not right we should definitely be keeping him.
