Fulham have submitted a season-long loan offer for AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze, according to various reports from Italy.
Matteo Moretto claims that the Cottagers have been actively pursuing Chukwueze over the past 24 hours. The Rossoneri are well aware of Fulham’s long-standing interest in the Nigerian international but are weighing up loan approaches from Betis and a number of Turkish teams. Italian journalist Luca Cohen says that, while the Whites are the most interested in the 26 year-old, AC Milan are going to wait and see what other concrete approaches come from Chukwueze’s admirers across Europe in the coming days. The Italian giants would much prefer a permanent sale, but could settle for a loan with an obligation to buy in the last week of the transfer window.
Marco Silva wants to add wingers to his squad before the end of the transfer window after the Fulham head coach felt his side’s push for Europe last season was derailed by injuries to Adama Traore, Reiss Nelson and Harry Wilson. Chukwueze, who was won 46 caps for his country, is looking for regular first-team football this season and has scored eight goals in 68 appearances for Il Diavolo since moving to Italy from Villarreal in July 2023.
