Foot Mercato reports that Fulham are still keen on signing the PSV Eindhoven striker Ricardo Pepi, despite seeing a £26m bid rejected.

The American international featured heavily on Marco Silva’s shortlist of strikers but reports from Holland suggested that the Eredivisie champions were not interested in selling the 22 year-old. It still seems as if it would take a big offer to tempt PSV to sell the former Augsburg striker, but Fulham and RB Leipzig, now looking for a replacement for the Manchester United bound Benjamin Sesko, are still monitoring Pepi’s availability.

PSV have seen a number of their stars depart this summer with Malik Tillman moving to Leverkusen for £30m, Johan Bakayoko leaving for Leipzig in a £15.6m deal and Napoli signing Noa Lang for £21.7m. Fulham do have money to spend, but are they interested enough in the injury-plagued Pepi to make the sort of bid that would convince PSV to cash in on his red hot return of 18 goals in 29 games last term?
