Fulham and Arsenal have resumed negotiations over a much-mooted second loan spell at Craven Cottage for winger Reiss Nelson, according to the Independent’s Miguel Delaney.
The Whites are interested in taking the 25 year-old back to SW6 after his stint at the Cottage last campaign was cut short by a hamstring injury in December. The two clubs have been discussing the possibility of a deal for most of the summer, with the sticking point previously being whether there should be an obligation to buy stipulated in any loan agreement. Fulham also previously harboured doubts about Nelson’s fitness.
Marco Silva vented his frustration at Fulham’s failure to bring in any summer signings other than number two goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte for a second week running during this afternoon’s press conference. The Portuguese head coach, who is desperate to add to his wide options, is known to be an admirer of Nelson, who is resigned to leaving the Emirates Stadium after Arsenal hijacked Tottenham’s deal to sign Eberechi Eze earlier this week.
Get this one done or move on with other target as this one is getting extremely boring !!.
