Fulham are trying to hijack Leeds United’s move to sign Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi, according to reports in the Italian press.

Corrierre dello Sport, who claimed on Thursday that newly-promoted Leeds were strong favourites to sign the 33 year-old Iranian international ahead of West Ham United and Fulham, now reveal that Inter could be beneficiaries of what the paper calls ‘an English derby’ between two Premier League rivals desperate to add to their striking resources. The report states that Fulham want to beat Leeds to the services of the former Porto forward, who has struggled to replicate his best form since moving to Italy.
