Fulham are interested in signing Manchester United striker Rasmus Hjolund, according to the Daily Mail.
The development comes as the Whites have failed to strengthen their striking options as Marco Silva expected during the summer transfer window. Silva spoke during his press conference this afternoon at his disappointment that Fulham have been so ‘passive’ despite agreeing a clear plan of action earlier this year – and he could soon require reinforcements with Rodrigo Muniz angling for a move to Atalanta.
Hjolund has reportedly told the Red Devils he would like to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place – so the Mail suggest that Fulham’s enquiry is designed to discover whether the 22 year-old is interested in a move to Craven Cottage. Silva has spoken previously of his admiration for the Danish forward, who has struggled since making a £62m move to United in August 2022. Hjolund has scored 26 goals in 95 games but will struggle for game time this season as Reuben Amorim has signed an entirely new front line in the shape of Bryan Mbuemo, Matheus Cuenha and Benjamin Sesko.
Hjolund, who has scored eight goals in 26 senior caps for Denmark, helped United win the FA Cup in 2023-24 and reach the Europa League final last year. The striker moved to Manchester after scoring ten goals in 34 games for Atalanta and won the Danish Superliga in his first full season in professional football with his home-town club FC Copenhagen. AC Milan had a season-long loan deal lined up to take the 6ft 3in forward back to Serie A, with an option-to-buy of around £39m, but Fulham believe he might prefer to remain in England.
We are seriously embarrassing this season!
I think there’s a very good player in there only 22 Milan only offered loan with option Utd really want to sale . Be brave Fulham offer 30m and let Silva tell him how much he Rates him . Stop pussey footing about even pay 35m your getting the money from Muniz deal
If, in the first place, Utd thought the was worth it, and apparently Silva rates him so he must be worth a shout, and based on Silva’s record of rejuvenating other jaded but prematurely fading ‘talents’, and if, he genuinely wants to come and get first team football, and if we get a decent sum from Atalanta – then ,with Kevin on board, as well, we may come out of this better off. Granted, Rodrigo may have set the premier league alight this season, early on, after signing a new appropriate 5 year contract with us, and we’d get nearer £70M for him this time next year – or, he may go to Atalanta, and get injured or scrape 4 goals over the season – nobody knows! So, it looks like him, or Richarlison, many of the same comments apply to him, but he’s 28, not 22, or Taremi, whose 33 and a lot cheaper, as a temporary make-weight, a la Raul – and look how that’s turned out: a rejuvenated premier league and international career! And then there’s Nelson.

Brentford seem to be deviating from their proven model of bringing in cheap but talented unknowns and then selling them on for a massive profit – if this to be believed.
Now this does seem interesting! https://sportwitness.co.uk/fulham-tracking-flaco-lopez-seen-as-replacement-if-muniz-heads-out/
Fancy a job as head of recruitment Steve D? Not sure Steve K is up to the task.
Already signalled my interest and availability through my agent, Nick, but, bafflingly, the club seem to be unbearably slow to progress anything.

If Muniz doesn’t want to stay and only that then Hjlund would be a decent signing along with Kevin but I can’t see TK spending much if any at all.
