Fulham are battling Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sevilla in a race to sign the Dinamo Makhachkala winger Mohammadjavad Hosseinnejad, according to Teamtalk.

The Whites are now casting a wide net to try and add a wide player before the end of the transfer deadline having failed to agree a fee with Shakhtar Donetsk for Brazilian flyer Kevin and not finalised a deal to bringing Reiss Nelson back to Craven Cottage for a second loan spell due to doubts about the Arsenal man’s fitness. The Cottagers, who are also considering making a move for FC Basel’s Philip Otele, are weighing up whether to table a bid for Iranian international Hosseinnejad.

The 22 year-old, who has won four senior caps for his country, moved to Dinamo Makhachkala last August from Sepahan. He scored on his debut and finished his debut season in Russia with three goals in 29 games. Hosseinnejad, who can play as an attacking midfielder or on either flank, is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young players in Russia and has scored one goal and added another assist in seven appearances this term.

Teamtalk suggests that Sevilla are the frontrunners for Hosseinnejad’s signature as they have made an official approach to Makhachkala but no fee has been agreed between the two clubs. A number of other suitors are tracking the Juybar-born talent’s availability, so it is possible that other parties could come into contention closer to deadline day.
