Fulham are ‘keeping an eye’ on the availability of Chelsea winger Tyrique George as they cast a wide net to try and supplement Marco Silva’s squad in the closing hours of the summer transfer window.
Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth reports that the Whites are one of a number of Premier League sides interested in signing George, who is the subject of a formal offer from Roma. The nineteen year-old has not played a single minute of league football this season and his chances of first-team football at Stamford Bridge appear remote following Chelsea’s summer spending spree, with Alejandro Garnacho the latest big-money signing for Enzo Maresca.
George, who is also interesting Bayern Munich and Crystal Palace, has scored three goals in 26 games for Chelsea since coming through the club’s academy, which he joined aged eight. The Camden-born winger scored the equaliser as Maresca’s side came from behind to Fulham at Craven Cottage last season – and Sheth suggests that the Whites are admirers of his talent.
Chelsea’s preference is to sell the teenager, although the deal will be complicated by the fact that Blues want to insert a significant sell-on clause so that they can profit from his future development.
Don’t do nothing yet Fulham just think about it plenty of time
Daniel – love the comment ! Want to laugh want to cry .
I was seriously believing that once having secured the core team , extended contacts to the best of youth and got a much needed quality second keeper, we would have moved relatively smoothly to two quality wingers and a midfield strongman . But here we are a few days off deadline with repeating gossip, new names with no substance and nothing looking at all near completion . Khan proves us all wrong and get 3 quality signings in 3 days .
If nothing happens soon it’s goodbye Marco ,two premier league clubs waiting ?
If we don’t get relegated this year due to inactivity in the transfer market, Marco walks and we can get relegated with Potter at the helm next season….
Please prove me wrong Mr Khan
We’re interested in, eyeing up, looking at, mulling over, thinking about, pondering, keen on,
enquiring about, considering, contemplating, plotting, planning, preparing a move for,
actively pursuing, in talks with (even resuming talks with), discussing, close to agreement,
preparing to swoop, making an approach for, chasing, about to table a bid….(sigh)
I read a few weeks ago that the Khans are selling the club and dismissed this as just media speculation but now I am wondering.
It has all the vibes of Fayed’s last year. Mr Sustainability can’t wait to offload his custodianship.
The khan’s have no interest in football all they care about is making money from their Business empire so I’m not worried if they sell the club so long as we get people who have ambitions for our football club.
