Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling is on a list of Fulham’s summer transfer targets – but the Whites will wait until much later in the summer window to make their move for the England international, according to the Daily Telegraph’s Mike McGrath.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City winger has been told he is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea looking to sell the 30 year-old this summer. But the Blues value Sterling at around £20m – an asking price that Fulham consider excessive – and Fulham’s preference for a loan with an option to buy is complicated by the fact that the wide man is currently on around £200,000-per-week at their near neighbours.

McGrath claims that Sterling would be very interested in a move to Fulham as he seeks to revive his hopes of making the England World Cup squad next summer, but the Whites would face competition from the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli. The BBC’s Nizaar Kinsella also links Marco Silva’s side with a loan move for midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who is keen to play more first-team football, but West Ham are also keeping tabs on the former Leicester man’s availability.
