Josh King has signed a four-year contract with Fulham, the club have announced this morning.
The talented midfielder, who has made eleven first-team appearances after breaking into the first-team squad last season, will stay at Craven Cottage until at least June 2029.
The eighteen year-old told Fulham’s official website:
“Honestly, I’m delighted about it. I’ve been at the club for about 13 years now, so it’s a long, long time, and I’m just delighted to be continuing and staying for another four years. I say to my family it’s like a second home, and it’s such a nice feeling to be able to stay here. Obviously I know a lot of people [here], I’ve got some good friends and made some really good connections, so it will be nice to continue that on.”
Delighted to see this and hope he gets more game time this coming season.
Some good news at last. Now let him play a lot more and prove his potential. At the moment he looks better than ESR who so far except for his first few match has been an utter flop
well done Josh. A great player.
A great and developing talent, well done Fulham! Josh King again, ole, ole!
Great talent joins LF as second youngster to sign long deal brilliant news, sure he will be playing more games this season things looking up. Still need to make signings but must make right ones who don’t get in Kings way . Other news I heard Sessegnon and Smith Rowe were back a few weeks ago early for training because they wanted to make sure they were at best for new season.
Great news i hope he gets a lot more games this season and we have to keep our best young players it’s good to see loyalty to the club who have given them their chance I hope this continues.
At the end of this excellent news about JK lies a fascinating sentence.
Sess seems the kind of human who would be doing that because he is professional to the core.
ESR is an enigma… BUT …whatever the reason, if FFC have got into his head what he needs to do to shine, and he is determined to prove himself then that too is decidedly promising!
Should have made clear ‘final sentence’ remark refers to Daniel’s comment
Wonderful news. Let’s hope Seth Ridgeon follows suit, but I’m not holding my breath.
Great news. Seems to signal a transition year ahead in the best sense. Need to sort out best positions for lots of players to make a contribution.
Well Done FFC , Silva the Khans .. and above all congratulations to JK. So far it’s a been a great a summer – Keeping who we needed to keep , including Silva .. Getting long term signings for our 2 best academy players ( is this unprecedented ?) , TC signing for a year , Tete turning down Everton . Now I am sure that attention will be focused on some targeted new signings . This is not a FFC on a stupid spending spree or panic buying . This looks like a solid approach to keeping the strong nucleus of the team , bringing in the best of the youth and making FFC look attractive to potential new players . COYW !! ( like that news on Sess and ESR on early training this shows determination)
No need for me to say much PEZZ said what i was going to say but still COYW.
This is indeed good news. Josh has impressed every time I’ve seen him play. He obviously needs more game time and how this is handled is where Marco’s skills come into play. Josh’s potential, commitment and work rate has rightly been rewarded and, as with Luc, both signings have indicated a positive intent for the future that has sadly been lacking in the past. Now the same needs to be done to ensure Seth stays with us.
On a different note, rumours that Cuenca might be moving on is depressing to say the least. I don’t know if anyone agrees, but he is another player that has been reliable when called upon as he has adequately covered for Calvin when needed, but likely won’t replace him. So could he potentially be used in an alternative role in addition to Calvin’s understudy? I hope this is being considered if at all possible as it would be yet another negative to lose him.
Excellent news.
Concerning Seth Ridgeon he is at the age where his future might not be in his hands his parents might want to make that decision for him, he could want to stay at FFC but they could choose another club or it could be reversed, the authorities of the clubs along with his team mates also might play a part in the final decision. So we will just have to wait and see and hopefully he follow Josh and Luc.
On a different matter I keep reading that we may sell Muniz we would be mad to lose him if we are going to lose any striker it should be Jimenez ,Muniz is going to be a great striker and has strength and speed and an eye for goals, surely Silva won’t agree to this, and so far no new signings .
Does anyone knows what happened? No more new articles since the seventeeth??
