Documents filed at Companies House over the past few days detail that Fulham’s parent company, Cougar HoldCo, has written off nearly £70m of loans by converting them into shares.
This takes Shahid Khan’s estimated total investment in Fulham Football Club since he bought the club from Mohamed Al-Fayed in 2013 to an eye-watering £885.6m.
Needs more credit from some for the great things he’s done for the club Legend
And now will some of those who keep complaining about the Khans see the reality of what the Khans have done for the club?
I doubt it.
I for one am grateful, thank you for all you do!
For me you should never tell anyone how to spend their money. But then why buy a football club if you are not interested in investing? Finally watch the price of tickets in the coming years.
I agree, it appears Mr Kahn Snr. has done more than any previous owner to support the club. We should all be very grateful for his commitment and support. A better owner than any I can think of, but there is Deliha of course.:) That’s commitment.
It really isn’t against the law to make a profit Zippa. Give the bloke a break and grateful. You could have an Ernie Clay , or maybe swap him for the Saudis or the Nottingham Forest owner. Think we’re doing okay.
Wow that is serious money. I’m sure all of us are grateful for the Khan’s commitment but it does not make him a good Director of football. We really need a professional to oversee the comings and goings of players. The Khans have ensured that we still have the best ground and location in the country something I’m sure we all appreciate.
I first went to CC in 1956.We have had some terrible owners, think Clay and Bulstrode. The Khan family have been by far our best owner, without them I guess our London Derby would be Orient.Yet last night on the Fulhamish podcast, one presenter was moaning about Fulham Pier.Clubs have to look for other income streams,I can’t get over Spurs fans hatred of Levy, which seems to be prevalent now at Fulham.Just remember you’re lucky not to get what you wish for.Wait till we are owned by a faceless Hedge Fund.
How to become a millionaire start with billions and then buy Fulham!
I find it beyond irritating the amount of criticism the Khans receive, particularly around their perceived unwillingness to spend money on transfers. Yes we leave transfers let, but look at the signings of recent years. It’s very hard to find more than one or two flops. The Khan’s have continue to invest in the club, what more can you ask for?
I agree ticket prices going up isn’t great but the last couple of years of season ticket renewal pricing has been more than reasonable.
Some fans seem to want more money spent on players but aren’t willing to accommodate the necessary changes to make this happen.
Spot on Derek.
Absolutely fantastic commitment to Fulham. Staggering amount of money and great owners. Could not be more grateful!
A lot of thanks are due to the Khan’s for their deep investment in the club. For their failings, they have done a great deal to ensure the future of the club’s existence and success at Craven cottage for years to come. We are fortunate that they chose Fulham! #COYW
Absolutely – Khan senior has shown his commitment to our club and well it is appreciated. I just wish junior could be a little more proactive in certain areas.
I hope this serves to shut the mouth of the many supposedly true Fulham supporters constantly complaining about the Khans. And please stop this idiotic distinction about the senior and the junior, they are obviously one family who have Fulham in their heart. They have managed to put this club in the Premier and solidify our position season after season. We have a beautiful new Riverside stand and the future looks bright.
I concur with most already said here. I just wonder this time moving the debt to shares might be for a different purpose. New stand up & running now so I wonder if Shahid might be looking to sell as he is in possibly the best position where the club is concerned for sometime if this thought had crossed his mind? With all his wealth he will always have to dig deep where Fulham are concerned. Debt might reduce over a period of time but never to the point of Fulham being sustainable. Unless your Country backed and that is not always the case?
Agree with all that has been said. Cannot question their financial support, Father is great but ye handed the reigns to his son Tony who has a good relationship with Marco but he does need in some cases in my opinion to be more decisive
I think some Fulham fans have a dislike for the Khans never anything good to say just negative things but their is a difference between fans and supporters.
Like Derek and a few others, my time at the cottage started long ago in 1968. There have been a few ……holes in that time but like most of you I think the Khans are good owners. It will be good to see if the Fulham Pier does generate extra income the club needs whilst maintaining a modest ST price increase for the likes of us. We hope this year’s window provided we don’t have to sell could take us back to Europe All in All thank you to the Khans and COYW’s
It’s great to see the Khans getting some of the credit they deserve. Obviously not everything has worked out but anyone who questions their commitment and effort is a fool.
