Fulham have reportedly placed a £45m price tag on Antonee Robinson as the American international attracts interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
New Spurs head coach Thomas Frank is known to be an admirer of the attack-minded left back, who created ten Premier League goals last season, and has placed him on a list of transfer targets handed to the Tottenham hierarchy. But Fulham are unwilling to sell one of Marco Silva’s key players, according to Give Me Sport. The full back happy at Craven Cottage, where he is under contract until 2028.
Dean Jones writes that Fulham have based their valuation on Robinson’s outstanding performances over the past three years in the Premier League and the fees paid for Liverpool’s latest acquisition, Milos Kerkez – a £40m capture from AFC Bournemouth – and Rayan Ait-Nouri, who moved to Manchester City from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £36m.
Robinson, who has made 189 appearances in five years with the Whites, is currently recovering from knee surgery, which ruled him out of international duty with the USA this summer. The 27 year-old has won fifty senior caps for the United States, scoring four goals.
Seems a little on the low side for a player of Jedi’s quality, especially considering his importance to our team. Hopefully, it does the job of making Spurs look elsewhere.
I’m sorry but we won’t accept 50 million for munez but will accept 45 million for the best lb in Europe for 2 years
Michael said it all . If you really don’t want to sell him say 70m if you don’t mind selling him 45m to get spurs ?
We should be bringing in players and not thinking of selling our best players.
£45m for a left back is decent money. I do not see Levy paying that amount for a full back. My concern would be trying to soften us up with someone like Richarlison to sweeten the deal. Would definitely not sell Robinson but we are at the stage where his value is premium? Of the two left backs sold to Liverpool & City this summer Robinson is superior defensively than both.
I think the valuation is far too low which is slightly worrying.
Agent Frank!
Based on 32 million for Smith Rowe he’s got to be worth over 100 million at the very least
Whoops…was low balling it…pro rata…about a billion
I agree 70 million plu.s and stick to it. He is on a long contract.we are becoming an easy touch quoting low fee Look at Brentford and Bournemouth and they do not budge.
I still think 45m would put off tight clubs like Spurs.
AR has potential long term injury issues. I think this is the only reason he’s still at Fulham as Fulham still gave him a great contract.
So, can’t see him leaving any time soon.
remember, we don’t get all of that fee. Wigan has a sell-on clause.
He’s probably got a good few years left in him, and I doubt that he’ll get many more chances to play for a big club…or Spurs.
To me, Spurs are one of those clubs which have such a high turnover of managers that players can get cast aside when a new boss comes in, as happened to a degree with Sess.
Obviously I’d like Robbo to stay, but if his agent or someone else has been in his ear, then there won’t be much we can do. We wouldn’t be able to compete with wages and, until December at least, Spurs can offer him CL football.
At 27, he’s in the prime of his career so we should push for top dollar.
However, let’s not get carried away until a concrete bid has come in.
Robbo has stated that he is happy at Fulham , he has also signed a lengthy contract extension.
That then
is
end of story.
45m is far too low we should be pushing for 70m to scare other clubs from trying to pinch him from us, I just hope he stays we can’t keep losing our best players.
45m is too low and as per normal no one has arrived yet Do the board never learn…!!!
https://www.footballcritic.com/top-players/backs – AR is 5th on this list and the top EPL performer in that position according to Football Critic’s algorithm. For comparison, Alexander-Arnold is 8th! 45M is ridiculously low!
