Derby County, Charlton Athletic and Birmingham City are all keen on signing Fulham attacking midfielder Luke Harris, according to Sky Sports.
The Welsh under-21 international, who has made four first-team appearances for Fulham, spent last season on loan at St. Andrew’s. Harris made 36 appearances in all competition – scoring four goals – as Birmingham won the League One title and reached the final of the EFL Trophy.
The Jersey born 20 year-old enjoyed a spell on loan at League One Exeter City in 2023-2024, scoring four goals in 21 games. Harris, widely regarded as one of the Fulham academy’s brightest prospects, starred for the Whites at under-18 and under-21 level before being handed a senior debut by Marco Silva in the League Cup defeat by Crawley Town in August 2022. He made his Premier League debut as a late substitute in Fulham’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa two months later.
The midfielder has a year left on his current Craven Cottage contract – with Fulham holding a further twelve-month option. The Premier League side were considering another loan for Harris, but Derby, Charlton and Birmingham are all interested in buying the attacking midfielder outright.
Doesn’t mention Birmingham being interested though does it.
He was mainly used as a sub last season and clearly wasn’t good enough to start a game. He’d benefit from another season in league one and playing more games. He’s definitely not ready to play in the championship.
