Premier League clubs have unanimously agreed to retain the £30 price cap on away tickets for the 2025/2026 season.
It will be the tenth year in a row that the price cap has been implemented in English football’s top tier – having been campaigned for and won by the Premier League supporters’ trusts in 2016 after years of differential pricing at a number of clubs, including Fulham.
Following the Premier League shareholders’ meeting, the Premier League released a statement that reads as follows:
The Premier League clubs today unanimously agreed to extend the current £30 cap on away ticket prices.
This will be the tenth season the £30 cap has been in place. Since its introduction in 2016, attendance at away games has increased from 82% to 91%.
The Premier League and clubs recognise the additional costs associated with fans following their team during the season, and the incredible atmospheres they create at matches.
A Fan Engagement Standard was launched in 2023 to reinforce Premier League clubs’ commitment to ensuring long-term meaningful engagement with supporters
Great! When will they introduce a HOME ticket price cap?!
Not for a while if Mackintosh and the Khans have their way. They love fleecing the fans
I wonder if it was a secret ballot or just a show of hands, if the latter, Ali Mac said, oh f*** it and reluctantly raised his hand and followed the rest.
They all unanimously agree it because they also unanimously agree that the away allocation is so small, it doesn’t matter that much so long as they’re allowed to charge what they want for home fans.
