Fulham have offered Kenny Tete improved terms in a late attempt to prevent the Dutch right back from joining Everton on a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 29 year-old’s five season stint in SW6 appeared set to come to an end earlier this week when he agreed to sign for the Toffees on a free transfer. That still seems likely, but Fulham have tabled a new offer to try and keep their first choice full back at Craven Cottage. The news follows reports earlier this afternoon that Tom Cairney could also remain with Fulham for a further year following a breakthrough in the captain’s contract discussions with the club.
Hope he stays ,but it might be too late here !! But we never knows !! Marco Silva Likes him a lot and he could change his mind at the last min!!
Maybe Kenny should give Bobby Decadova a ring first to see what he thinks of his move to Everton!
One feels Marco has shown frustration and those doing the deals promised to him, and trying to do one as cheaply as possibly are jumping?
Does this augur well?
Will Marco have the squad he needs, for once, BEFORE the season starts?
This part of the Dorset jury is out.
Probably too little too late As usual everything left until the last minute. I would like to see him stay but at this late stage I have my doubts
Makes me suspicious that other plans to fill that position have fallen through
This should have been sorted before this shows you how the Khans operate Silva was promised big money for marquee signings so he would stay at our club which I think was bullxxxx instead The club have let Tetes contract run down can’t we give them Castagne instead
Really good player but 3 year contract most unwise. Not played a full season since his mid twenties. What will he be like when he’s 32
When are we going to see some new signings we are all sick of waiting for the last day of the season the Khan’s really don’t have a clue when it comes to the transfer window and I don’t think they ever will.
Agree with John B this transfer window is almost farcical now apparently we are linked with everyone and know one we seem to find these players then suddenly other clubs come in for them, the Khans have spent money on the riverside stand etc which is good but if you want to progress you have got to back the manager ie with marquee signings Tony Khan is always ready to take praise but also at his level you have got to take the flack, this Leeds bid for Muniz is worrying why does TK just say politely Go away he is not for sale at any price, if he goes then Silva will defineately go
Come On TK show us fans that it’s changed and start making these Marquee signings that Silva wants if the right players are available not journeymen at 10:30 pm on the last day of the window, also the new signings ( if any) can be integrated early into the Squad so Silva can work with them
As regarding kingKenny C B has a good point. I hope he stays as we have more going forward with him compared to Tim castagne.
I wonder if our pay structure limits who could come here. Don’t get me wrong l think the very good players get paid too much but the likes of some players linked to us wouldn’t come for the wages we pay.
I agree with John B and Keith as regards to the timings of our transfers but l can’t see anything changing.
