Fulham remain keen on signing Anthony Caci this summer having tried to bring the Mainz utility man to Craven Cottage in January.

The Whites will face significant competition in trying to lure the versatile full back, who has played for most of this season on the right wing-back in the Bundesliga, to London with Leeds United, Rennes and Borussia Dortmund also keen on the 27 year-old’s services, according to Sebastien Denis of Footmercato this afternoon.

The 27 year-old laid on seven assists as Mainz finished sixth and qualified for the Europa League this term and, with his contract expiring next summer, they might be persuaded to cash in on Caci’s fine form. He has made more than a hundred appearances in Ligue 1 for Strasbourg – mostly as a left back – and was converted to one of the Bundesliga’s most creative wing-backs by Bo Henriksen.

According to various reports in France, the Premier League pair of Fulham and Leeds represent intriguing options for the former French under-23 international, who is at the top of Rennes’ list of summer targets, whilst Dortmund view Caci as a rotational option. In a sign that Mainz might be preparing for exit, Henriksen has identified Freiburg’s Kiliann Sildillia as a potential summer signing.
