Fulham are set to sell Andreas Pereira this summer with a return to Brazil looking the most likely destination for the midfielder, according to a report from Teamtalk.
The former Manchester United attacking midfielder angered Marco Silva by publicly eulogising about a move away from Craven Cottage last winter and he is not interested in extending his contract in SW6. The 29 year-old, currently on international duty with Brazil, has his sights set on making the national squad for next summer’s World Cup and has been heavily linked with a return to his homeland.
Palmeiras saw two offers for Pereira rejected in January – and may well return with a third bid. Flamego, where Pereira was on loan before he moved to Fulham from Old Trafford, are also interested in signing the playmaker and are believed to have held preliminary discussions about a permanent transfer with Fulham. The Whites are holding out for a substantial sum for a player who has been key to their Premier League progress since returning to the top flight under Silva. Pereira has scored ten goals and made 22 assists in 119 appearances but ended the season out of Fulham’s starting line-up.
Technically he is very good but not sure he will ever be influential type whether club or country.
Often thought he is a couple of notches away from top drawer. Number 10’s or attacking midfielders have to influence games regularly.
Can’t wait for him to leave. Just get as much as we can for him.
He’s a worker and we’d find it difficult to replace his boundless energy when we don’t have the ball.
I’ve watched a few interviews and he clearly seems to think that he’s a cut above the rest of the squad in terms of skill and isn’t shy about saying so. That can’t be good for team cohesion.
He’s been openly angling for a move for the last couple of windows, which is the sort of boat rocking that no club needs, plus he clearly thinks that he’s too good to play for FFC.
To sum up, I appreciate him as a player and what he brings to the party, but he does come across as an arrogant d’head at times and either his ego or his agent keep telling him he should be at a bigger club.
If he doesn’t want to be here then ‘don’t let the door etc’. If he has a change of heart and decides that he wants to stay, then I’d keep him, but I dont think that’s going to happen.
Best of luck to him if he does go.
I hope this is true. An attacking midfielder that don’t score or assist but still takes all the corners and free kicks!! Another Tosin that thinks he’s better than us.
Waste of a position he is. Create on average 2 assists every 10 games and 1 goal ever 10 games. Would not call that creative. He can’t even clear the first man at a corner 90% of the time
Please add your name below if you are available to drive him to the airport.
Does he need a ride to the Airport??
I don’t think he will be missed and we need a younger player who can score goals and take better corners and free kicks so sell him.
He works his socks off but I agree the end product is lacking, whilst I have no issues with those who’d rather see someone else take his place the drive him to the airport part is a bit much, maybe those who are willing to drive him can get on the plane as well and take their toxity with them
I can drive him to the airport
Taxi for Mr Perreira
I agree with all the comments. When he runs his socks off he gives the team something… however he gos missing to often and his contributions sent enough and his dead ball executions fail too often. Taxis to the airport are a bit much but l think he should go and we need more young blood there.
