Fulham have turned down an offer worth £32m from newly-promoted Leeds United for striker Rodrigo Muniz.

A report from the Standard’s Dom Smith states that Leeds offered £26m up front and a further £6m in add-ons and we have confirmed the veracity of that information with Fulham sources. Fulham immediately rejected the offer and have no wish to sell the Brazilian striker. The Cottagers intend to open discussions with Muniz’s representatives about a new long-term deal for the forward, who scored eleven goals in 32 appearances for Fulham last season, this summer.

The Whites rebuffed interest in Muniz from West Ham United last January and would entertain offers below £50m for the former Flamengo centre forward. Muniz has scored 26 goals in 97 games for Fulham, but was second choice striker to Mexican veteran Raul Jimenez for much of last season.
