Everton have emerged as serious rivals to Fulham in the race to sign Mainz full-back Anthony Caci, according to Teamtalk.

The versatile French man, who can play on either side of back four or back five as well as in midfield, has been scouted by Fulham for months and is unlikely to sign a new contract, according to reports in Germany. This makes the 27 year-old available if anyone is willing to meet Mainz’s £8.5m asking price – and both the Whites and Everton, who are in the market for a new right back with the imminent exit of Ashley Young, are prepared to do so.

Fulham considered a deal for Caci back in January and the attack-minded man has long been on the club’s radar. They will need to move quickly to secure the former Strasbourg star’s signature but reports from Italy suggest that Atalanta defender Raoul Bellanova is the Marco Silva’s top summer target.
