Under-18s captain Jayden Quashie has been named Fulham’s scholar of the year following his fabulous 2024/2025 season.
The talented teenager was presented with his trophy during the Premier League’s academy awards evening at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday. The classy midfielder has led by example this term, leading Ali Melloul’s stylish side to twelve wins in his eighteen appearances in all competitions for the under-18s this season. His composed performances have also seen Quashie promoted into the Fulham under-21 squad, for whom he played six times.
Quashie, who has also won international recognition having been capped by Grenada’s under-20 side, has also been academically busy – earning a BTEC in Sporting Performance alongside his stellar season on the pitch. He told Fulham’s official website:
“It’s an amazing feeling. I feel like the hard work that I’ve put in this season, both on and off the pitch, has been noticed by the club. The season has been tough. It started off by captaining the team to lots of wins, but I picked up an injury just before Christmas which put my season back. I was out for four months with a stress fracture in my lower back, but that allowed me to mature off the pitch and gain an understanding of things I needed to do better once I came back. It’s really rewarding to have received this award and it’s a massive thing for myself.”
