Fulham are keen on signing PSV Eindhoven forward Ricardo Pepi this summer as Marco Silva seeks striking reinforcements, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The American international is tipped to leave the Netherlands this summer despite scoring seventeen goals in 28 appearances across all competitions as PSV won the Eredivisie on a dramatic final day after Ajax’s astonishing implosion. The 22 year-old Texan, who has scored thirteen goals in 33 senior caps for his country, has found the net 26 times in 68 appearances for Peter Boscz’s side and has attracted frenzied transfer speculation off the back of his stellar season.

The El Paso native also helped PSV to the title in 2023-2024 and has won two CONCACAF Nations League titles with the United States. He was voted the MLS Young Player of the Year in 2021 and enjoyed a successful loan spell with Groningen having struggled in his first taste of European football at Augsburg. Pepi signed a new deal at the Philips Stadion until 2030, but Mike McGrath reports that the Whites are ready to test the water with a bid for the 6ft 1in front man – believing their success in integrating American talent over the years will make Craven Cottage an attractive destination for the talented Texan.

Pepi’s season ended early after he suffered a knee injury in January but he is expected to be able to participate fully in pre-season training with PSV or somehow else should Rood-witten opt to part with one of their prized assets. The Dutch giants rejected a loan with an obligation to buy bid worth £21m from West Ham United in Janaury.
