Flamengo and Olympique Marseille are set to renew their interest in Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira this summer, according to reports from Brazil.
The Brazilian international spoke positively about the possibility of a move to France last autumn – earning the wrath of Marco Silva and the Fulham hierarchy – but a deal to leave Craven Cottage never materialised during the January transfer window. Fulham are understood to be open to selling the former Manchester United man this summer, but their valuation of the 29 year-old attacking midfielder might prevent Pereira’s boyhood club, where he spent a season on loan before joining Fulham, from signing him permanently.
Bolavip report that the Whites currently value him at around £30m, which both Flamego and Marseille believe to be ‘excessive’. The two suitors are confident that they can persuade Fulham’s hierarchy to lower their asking price, with Pereira about to enter the final year of his current contract – even if the Premier League do hold a twelve-month extension option. Marseille are pondering whether to make a formal offer in the next couple of weeks, with former Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi being a big admirer of the Belgian-born playmaker, but they are expected to go no higher than an initial bid of £15m.
Please and Thank You for this happens !! ? I will drive him to the airport !!
I rather suspect Pereira wants to leave the Cottage and if that is the case the club should let him go. I have to say, but maybe I’m biased, not a great number of players seem to really make it after they’ve left Fulham. No point having players in the team who don’t want to be there.
Does anyone here think he is worth 30 million???
if someone bids that sort of money then we have to accept
that frees up a no 10 spot for josh king
would he take ESR with him?
30 million, are they kidding? If they don’t drop that figure we will be stuck with him for a least another season.
Ive got the car warmed up.
Get 20 million and happily wave him good bye along with Vinicius and ESR!!!. Urgent if Tete does sign a new contract a decent younger right back
Periera, £30 million, who in their right mind would pay that for him? Fulham are living in cloud cuckoo land if they think he will fetch that amount.
Fulham should try a bog off deal, buy Periera and get Vinicious for free.
Who in their right mind would pay 32,000,000 pounds for ESR?
Given that Periera is a bargain at 30…
Please let him go and take ESR with him how on earth did we pay 32m for him we would be lucky to get 10m for him
If somebody-ANYBODY-offers thirty quid for this twat-I’ll gladly double it. Not that he’s actually worth sixty quid.
And I’ll pay the cost of freight for his Space Invaders machines!
Still no takers?
I’ll throw in the price of his first five weekly haircuts.
He spends more time in the barber’s chair than he does practicing set pieces.
A bit harsh lads, maybe not quite as good as he should have been. If ESR can regain the form pre injury then he could be of use. I wish Pereria all the best for the future
As a lone voice, I hope Andreas stays.
Despite all of his shortcomings (no good at free kicks, iffy at best at corners, no goals in him, constantly flirting with other clubs, having an ego the size of a planet) I appreciate the work he puts in.
He isn’t a regular 10 and is quite unique. Most 10s do diddly when their team is out of possession, but AP is like the Energiser bunny, pressing the whole time.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him go after batting his eyelashes at various clubs over the last couple of seasons, but my thought is that we might end up with a more trad 10 and only then realise what AP brought to the table.
Let’s see how this pans out.
