Harry Wilson could be in line to make an earlier than expected return to action for Fulham at his old club AFC Bournemouth on Monday after Marco Silva confirmed that the winger had resumed full training at Motspur Park.
The Welsh international has scored five goals and added two assists in 21 appearances for Fulham this term as well as shining on the global stage under Craig Bellamy but has spent the last two and a half months on the sidelines since breaking a bone in his foot in January. The Wrexham-born winger, who scored seven times in 35 games whilst on loan at the Cherries in 2019/2020, is in contention to feature at Dean Court on Monday evening.
Silva told his press conference at Motspur Park earlier this afternoon:
The only difference [from last week’s match against Liverpool] is that Harry Wilson has been involved [in training] with the team in the last few days. he’s been reacting really well. Let’s see over the next few days if he can be involved. It will be nice to have him back for the last seven games.”
The 28 year-old’s return for a crucial run of games that could decide whether the Whites qualify for Europe is a second boost in seven days for Silva, who saw right back Kenny Tete return from four months out in the win over Liverpool last weekend.
Good news to have Harry and Kenny back fit again COYW.
