Marco Silva he is pleased with how far much Fulham have grown since he stepped into the Craven Cottage hotseat four years ago – but insists his work with the Whites isn’t finished.
The Portuguese head coach took over from Scott Parker after the Cottagers had been relegated from the Premier League having been desperate to manage in England again after being sacked by Everton in 2019. Some pundits were surprised that Silva took a job in the second tier but Fulham cantered to the Championship title in his very first season before establishing the west Londoners as a top flight force once again.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s SW6 derby, Silva said:
“Our progress pleases me. It took very hard work, but it’s the reason we are here. We love this job. You don’t get anything unless you have a platform in terms of work ethic. It’s a great satisfaction. I think the football club is clearly growing. I’m really pleased right now, but it’s not the end. These six games can make a massive difference for us, our position in the table. Let’s focus on it.”
Come on Fulham , no more nearly’s let’s push on
