Raul Jimenez wants to stay at Fulham beyond this summer when his current contract at Craven Cottage comes to an end.

The Mexican international, now 33, has been in fantastic form for club and country this year and wants to reach agreement with the Whites over a contract extension, with the club holding an option to extend his deal by a further twelve months. Head coach Marco Silva has already indicated his desire to keep the number seven in SW6 and, speaking to TNT Sports following Fulham’s fine win over Liverpool last weekend, Jimenez said:

“I am enjoying my football at Fulham. The club has option to extend my contract.  hope the option to stay at Fulham, in the Premier League, gets activated. The club can trigger it, and I’d be happy to continue in England.”

Jimenez, a summer signing from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2023, has hit ten goals this term as he shared striking duties with Rodrigo Muniz this term. He has fought his way back into the Mexico squad this year, producing peerless performances to help El Tri win the CONCACAF Nations League last month, and is set to lead the line at a home World Cup next summer.
