Arsenal’s astonishing Champions’ League quarter final first leg win over Real Madrid this evening has ensured that there will be five Premier League representatives in the competition next season.

England are top of UEFA’s coefficient standings for 2024/2025 – which means that they will gain the additional Champions’ League spots under the tournament’s new rules. The Premier League might even have six sides in the Champions’ League next term should either Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur manage to win the Europa League – which certainly ins’t beyond the realms of possbility.

Both of these developments would be excellent news for Marco Silva’s Fulham side – who are in the race for the European spots through the league. The Whites are currently eighth in the table, with a crucial clash against fellow contenders AFC Bournemouth coming up at Dean Court on Monday night.
