Rodrigo Muniz says Fulham ‘are ready’ to make more history against Chelsea this weekend.
The Brazilian striker scored the winner as Marco Silva’s side won at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day for the first time in 45 years and he wants to help the Whites secure the first league double over their local rivals in Fulham’s history on Sunday.
Speaking to Fulham’s official website, Muniz, who has now scored eleven goals this season, said:
“My form [this season] is good but at Arsenal and City I scored and we lose. I prefer [when we win] and everyone’s happy and [scoring] Chelsea was top. It was the most important goal I scored in my life because I know what that game means to the Fulham fans. It will be a tough game because Chelsea is a big club but we are ready to make it difficult for Chelsea.”
Muniz also shared his experiences of meeting a Fulham fan during last week’s signing session at Craven Cottage:
“I signed a Fulham fan’s calf. He said [the match] against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was ‘the best day of my life. You gave me the best day of my life and I want to [make] a tattoo. I said, ‘Wow … this is good’.”
