Fulham under-21s captain Matt Dibley-Dias has urged his team-mates to finish a fine season strongly by picking up some PL2 silverware.
The midfielder, whose side start their play-off campaign against Nottingham Forest at Motspur Park on Monday evening, admits the young Whites are still stung by both their early exit at the end of last season’s competition and how they went out of the Premier League International Cup at the hands of Olympique Lyonnais last week.
Dibley-Dias told the club’s official website:
“We went out of the play-offs early last year, so we definitely want to bounce back. Forest beat us earlier in the season too, so we want a reaction. Hopefully we can go all the way. We’ve been really good this season. We want to finish it strong and get a piece of silverware. We want to have something where we can look back on the season, reflect and go ‘yeah, we did something good’, so hopefully we can keep going.”
