Joachim Andersen feels Fulham’s fine win over Liverpool can power the Whites towards European qualification.

The Danish centre half was in no doubt that Marco Silva’s side are back in the race for the continental places after inflicting Liverpool’s first away league defeat of the season, telling Viaplay:

“We were told that they had not lost away from home this season. That gave us some motivation. However, I expect them to win the league. We know that we can put all teams under pressure. Those were some great goals – and everyone just worked really hard.”

Asked specifically about the prospect of the Cottagers qualifying for Europe, Andersen replied:

It’s clear that it is close. Now, we have seven Cup finals left, and it is just about giving it the gas. We’re going for a great position – and we’re going for the big thing.”
